World Peace
“A RIVER OF PEACE FLOWS FREELY THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
One of my favorite hymns contains the line “I’ve got peace like a river in my soul.” Today, as I think of world peace, I see it as a river, flowing freely from person to person, community to community, and country to country, filling hearts and souls and providing an avenue for understanding and compassion.
Just as a river winds and flows, the ways to achieve peace continue to evolve. Needs and goals may change, populations may require different resources, and leaders may come and go. When minds and hearts are open to peace, a flow of ideas and solutions leads to a common good. When people are willing to work together for peace and harmony, we come together to bless the world.”
